Rx for Innovation: A path forward for us all

The role played by the United States in biomedical research and innovation did not happen by chance. And it most certainly is not guaranteed to continue indefinitely. This leadership position arose from decades of commitment to federal funding and pro-innovation policies, plus ingenuity and entrepreneurship. Now, a new entrepreneur looms large—the health citizen—and we believe biomedical research and development (R&D) efficiency and effectiveness will be improved if all stakeholders embrace health citizenship.
