Richard Merkin, M.D.

Richard Merkin, M.D. is CEO and founder of Heritage Provider Network, with more than 30 years experience in managing clinically focused, administrative services organizations in healthcare delivery and physician network development. Dr. Merkin pioneered the development of medical networks, many of which have been recognized for their performance and service to the community. Dr. Merkin received the Marquis Award for healthcare from the Southern California Foundation for Health, Education, and Research, and he is active on the advisory board for the chairman of the Assembly Subcommittee on Health, the Healthcare Delivery Council, the Society for Physicians in Administration, and the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Merkin earned his M.D. at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
