Gerald Levey, M.D. is Provost and Dean of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine where he oversees the School of Medicine, UCLA Medical Center, and the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital. He is co-chair of the National Study of Internal Medicine Manpower, interested in the nation's physician supply and the role of generalist physicians. Dr. Levey was named a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, served as a consultant to the National Institutes of Health, was senior vice president for Medical and Scientific Affairs at Merck & Co., and chair of the department of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Levey earned his M.D. at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. |
