Loren Becker

Loren Becker joined FasterCures as a global health program analyst for the Philanthropy Advisory Service in 2008. Loren comes to FasterCures from the Results for Development Institute, where she was a program officer in charge of developing and implementing projects relating to health financing at the global and country level. Prior to that, Loren worked as a consultant to the Center for Global Development's Global Health Policy Research Network, co-authoring its Global Health Indicators working group report, and was a Duke global health fellow working with the Global Forum for Health Research in Geneva. Other past professional experiences include four years spent as a Web developer and then as a congressional reporter at the Bureau of National Affairs Inc., a legal and regulatory publishing company, and work on developing international public health projects at the Academy for Educational Development, a large U.S. Agency for International Development contractor. Loren holds a master's degree in public policy from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in latin american studies from the George Washington University.
