Mission Statement

FasterCures is dedicated to saving lives by saving time. Our mission is to identify and implement global solutions to accelerate the process of discovery and clinical development of new therapies for the treatment of deadly and debilitating diseases.

At FasterCures, we don't fund research or try to reform the delivery of healthcare. Many others are working hard in those areas already. Rather, we seek ways to amplify the productivity of the considerable resources and expansive infrastructure dedicated to finding new medical solutions.

We want to catalyze systematic change in several key areas. We:

• Evaluate current systems of disease prevention, research, development, and treatment
• Identify barriers to efficiency, effectiveness, and expediency in those systems
• Create achievable action plans to improve those systems
• Apply seasoned leadership to implementation of those action plans in concert with organizations seeking new medical solutions

Based on our work and input from the medical research community and patient community, we have developed a Blueprint for Change describing how medical research must transform. By implementing this strategic plan, we believe the resources and infrastructure that drive and support medical research will work faster and more efficiently.

FasterCures was formed under the auspices of the Milken Institute.
